MEMBERSHIPS

Every person who wishes to attend GCBJJ will get a free week of classes. At this time you are welcome to come to any of our BJJ or striking classes. Please bring a water bottle. Appropriate workout clothing is to be worn, and no gear will need to be purchased until you decide if you will be setting up a membership. When the time comes, you will need to purchase the appropriate gear for the classes you wish to attend:

BJJ Gi Class: Jiu Jitsu gi in brand of your choice with a rashguard to wear underneath. We do not permit you to train without anything under the gi (no skin contact). Tshirts are acceptable but discouraged. Academy gis are available but not mandatory. Mouth guards are highly encouraged.

BJJ NoGi Class: Jiu Jitsu rash guard and board shorts in brand of your choice, women may wear spandex or spats (leggings) and a rash guard. Any bottoms worn must be free of pockets. Compression tops and bottoms of any type/brand also work if you do not want to purchase jiu jitsu specific gear. We offer a limited amount of bjj nogi gear but it is not mandatory to purchase from us. Mouth guards are highly encouraged.

Muay Thai (Kickboxing): Loaner gloves and shin guards will be provided for your trial classes. Once you sign up, you will need to purchase your own pair of 16oz. boxing gloves and shin guards. Check with coaches for most reliable brands before making purchases. Mouth guards are mandatory to have on hand for live sparring.

MMA: Loaner gloves and shin guards will be provided for your trial classes. Once you sign up, you will need to purchase your own pair of 16oz. boxing gloves, shin guards AND MMA specific gloves. Check with coaches for most reliable brands before making purchases. Mouth guards are mandatory to have on hand for live sparring.

All suggestions and requirements for adult classes are the same for kids classes. MMA is the only class not offered for kids.
